Jill is one of the biggest Belgian YouTube channels, and the Halloween episode is the appointment her audience waits for. The treatment therefore had to hold unfamiliar ground for the channel, horror, without ceasing to read as an episode of the series. It also had to work across different guests and every asset of the episode, which ruled out a treatment cut for a single shot.
Two formats, one mystery visual identity
Intros, transition stingers, story title cards and animated lower-thirds for an investigation format and its Halloween special. A deliberately "pop" direction rather than gore, keeping the mystery mood without tipping into anything too dark. An investigation format needs landmarks. The story panel sets the context, the transition marks the shift from one chapter to the next, the lower-third names people without interrupting. Every element serves reading before it serves decoration. The Halloween episode reuses the same system and pushes it further: same gestures, same construction, darker treatment. That was the condition for the special to still read as an episode of the series rather than as a separate object.

Discovery
We frame what the film has to say, to whom, and into which brand world it fits. If guidelines already exist, they become our starting point rather than a constraint to work around.
-
Direction
We list the boards and set the art direction as slides. You know what the film will contain and what it will look like before a single frame moves.
-
Framing
Still boards, approved before any animation. This is not set in stone: if the project calls for it, or if you would rather go straight to animation, we skip it. But when we keep it, it saves animating the same sequence three times over.
-
Production and delivery
The animation itself, with regular check-ins to avoid nasty surprises. For sound, voice and music we work with partners whose actual craft it is, rather than pretending in house.
