Casa for Life is a Belgian association supporting health and life in Casamance, Senegal. One of the studio's earliest projects, with a simple brief: a site the association can maintain itself, without going back to a supplier for every new mission.

The association works in Casamance with field teams, not a communications department. The brief was therefore less about the site than about what would happen afterwards: once the site was delivered and the studio gone, the association had to be able to keep it running itself. That criterion, not the layout, decided how the project was built.
A site the association updates without us
An association coming back from a mission returns with photographs, work in progress, dates. If publishing all that means calling someone, it never gets published. So the site sits on a CMS: news, achievements and upcoming dates are entries the association fills in itself. The green and the field photographs do the rest. The layout is not trying to impress, it is trying to stay readable as the content changes.
The site gets read on a phone as much as at a desk, so the layout was built for the small screen first: short entries, photos carrying the essentials, and nothing that needs zooming to read a date. The rest comes down to one condition, met here: if the charity can fill in a form, it can run its own site. That is what decides whether content keeps coming a year after delivery, or stops.
